1972 Ford Mustang 351C Bright Lime 66K Miles Very Rare for sale in Greenfield, Massachusetts

$25,500

1972 Ford Mustang 351C Bright Lime 66K Miles Very Rare.

For sale is my survivor, very low mileage, very rare 1972 Mustang convertible painted in its original and highly desirable color of BRIGHT LIME. This is my favorite color of all the factory available colors for the 1 Mustangs because it SCREAMS the seventies. It is more vivid and brighter than either Grabber Yellow or Medium Bright Yellow. It is similar to the Mopar impact color of Citron or Curious Yellow.

Aside from one show quality repaint in its original color (the car had all original paint when I got it), the addition of a Ram Air style NASA hood (with the correct matte black hood patch), Mach I style side stripes, new 15 Magnum 500 chrome wheels with BFG radial T/A tires, and a new USB, MP3, Bluetooth FM stereo radio, this car is almost exactly as it left the factory.

This car it has NEVER HAD ANY RUST THROUGH OR RUST REPAIR AND THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN ANY ACCIDENTS. It has 66,022 original miles documented by a sack full of receipts and other paperwork. It is a true survivor. All of the glass is original to the car and in excellent shape. All the weatherstrip is new. New door handles and locks. New Mustang script emblems.

The bumpers are new and the convertible top boot moldings were re-chromed. All the stainless is in mint condition. It has a new pop open gas cap and a new Mach I honey-comb rear trim panel with new moldings. The convertible top is brand new and has a glass rear window, not the cheap plastic one re-sellers install. It even has a matching white top well liner and new white top boot.

The trunk is detailed with the correct splatter paint and a new speckled mat. It also has its original born with, never used spare tire along with the correct scissors jack, lug wrench, and mounting hardware.

The original interior is in excellent condition. The seats still have their very rare gray and white comfort-weave inserts that are not reproduced. The carpet is new but the underlayment is the factory original set that was laid down 46 years ago and looks brand new. How rare is that. I have pictures showing the floors and underlayment.

The floors literally look like they were painted yesterday. I dont think this car ever spent a day out in the rain. The seat belts and dash pad are new. The dash bezel trim panels and shifter bezel are new. The factory AM radio was swapped for a new USB, MP3, Bluetooth FM stereo radio and a new stereo dash speaker was installed. The radio sounds great.

The car drives smoothly down the road with no bumps, squeaks, or rattles. The steering alignment is great and the car doesnt pull to either side. I would describe the undercarriage and engine bay as driver quality, in keeping with an unrestored survivor car. THIS CAR STILL HAS ITS ORIGINAL BORN WITH EXHAUST SYSTEM. WOW.

The thing that makes this car so rare is not only the color and its survivor condition but also the fact that it came from the factory with the decor group option which provided for a Mach I style front grill and black lower body paint. It even has power steering, power disc brakes, and factory air conditioning that blows ICE COLD. You heard that right, THE FACTORY A/C BLOWS ICE COLD.

The speedo works well.

Everything else on this car, including the clock, works. The car starts, runs, drives, and performs perfectly.

There are no leaks, engine noises, or other issues. It doesnt look like the motor or transmission have ever been out of the car. The receipts show this car was serviced regularly and driven sparingly. Aside from regular things being changed like brakes, suspension, tune ups, belts, hoses, etc., this car is all original.

This is a true collector car that should increase in value over time. When is the last time you have ever seen a factory Bright Lime H-code 1972 Mustang Convertible with all these options for sale? I searched 20 years for this one. It may be another 20 years before you see another. So dont wait.

Please keep in mind that cars this age are not titled, but I will give the buyer the documentation needed to title the car in any state that does title cars this age.
